Purpose: The purpose of this class is to improve the female officer’s close quarter pistol fighting skills. Through intensive range work the female pistol operator will increase her ability to maintain and deliver her weapon system efficiently and effectively particularly “inside the reach zone.”

Participants will:

• Review case studies to provide context
• Explore body platform positioning
• Movement and space clearing
• Various striking techniques
• Relative shooting positions
• Weapon management and retention
• Carry/draw recognition
• Multiple officer engagement

Participants are required to bring the following:

• 400 rounds of standard pistol ammunition
• Brimmed hat
• Wrap-around eye protection
• Ear protection
• Pistol with three magazines
• Red or blue gun
• Mouth guard

A water source and simple carbohydrate is highly recommended.
