Purpose:

The purpose of this class is to improve the female officer’s shooting performance as it relates to surviving a lethal encounter. Through intensive range work the female pistol operator will increase her ability to deliver her handgun efficiently and effectively particularly in the area of balancing speed and accuracy and managing her environment.

  • Shooting with compressed timeframes
  • One handed and support hand shooting
  • Expeditious stoppage clearing and reloading
  • Pistol ground fighting
  • Shooting and moving from a seated position
  • Target-focused shooting
  • Multiple target engagement
  • Shooting with movement
  • Operating safety around non-threats
  • Individual and team competition to illicit 100% performance

About LouKa Tactical: In business since 1999 it is the largest female owned and operated company of its kind with a diverse cadre of instructors with very unique talents. Co-owner Lou Ann Hamblin retired from law enforcement having served for 22 years working uniform and training as well as undercover to include a special assignment with the DEA. She holds a master’s degree in performance technology from the University of Michigan and is a certified firearms and defensive tactics instructor in a variety of disciplines. She is a Team One Network adjunct instructor, H&K Master Pistol Instructor, and IALEFI Master Firearms Instructor-trainer. She instructs internationally in the areas of instructor development, training for specialty units and female officers. Lou Ann also serves on the Board of Directors for IALEFI.
