Survival Pistol for the Female Officer (2 days)
The purpose of this class is to improve the female officer’s shooting performance as it relates to surviving a lethal encounter. Through intensive range work the female pistol operator will increase her ability to deliver her handgun efficiently and effectively particularly in the area of balancing speed and accuracy and managing her environment.
Focus areas include:
Shooting with compressed timeframes
One handed and support hand shooting
Expeditious stoppage clearing and reloading
Pistol ground fighting
Shooting and moving from a seated position
Target-focused shooting
Multiple target engagement
Shooting with movement
Operating safety around non-threats
Individual and team competition to illicit 100% performance
Participant requirements:
400 rounds of pistol ammunition
Body armor
Brimmed hat
Wrap around eye protection
Ear protection
A water source and simple carbohydrate is highly recommended
