- Wrap-around, shatter-resistant eye protection
- Ball cap or hat with bill
- Hearing protection
- Pistol and full duty belt/or EDC
- Functional clothing every day
- 300 rounds of pistol ammunition/3 magazines
- Marker and pen/paper-note taking device
Event Description:
Day 1: “Officer Down: Self Help/Buddy Care and Rescue”-Team building, hands-on officer down rescue techniques, practical exercises, and scenario-based training.
Day 2: “Survival Pistol”- Individual and team skill building exercises. Responding to the active killer drills will round out the day.
Day 3: “Defensive measures for the smaller statured officer. Hands-on problem-solving defensive tactics.

Lou Ann is co-owner of LouKa Tactical and a retired police officer from the State of Michigan.
She has been instructing for 32 years in the areas of firearms and tactics at an international level. She holds a number of instructor certificates and a master’s degree in education from the University of Michigan. Inspector Toni Weinbeck has been a police officer with the City of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, since 2004. As an Inspector she is currently assigned to the patrol division, training, and K-9. Toni has a third-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do Toni has also trained in Kali (a Pilipino weapons system) Kenpo (a Chinese striking art), Muay Thai and currently trains in Krav Maga. She is also a defensive tactics instructor with certifications in LOCKUP, LVNR, OC, and PPCT. Toni holds a master’s degree in public safety administration from St. Mary’s University.
Sgt. Tammy McCormack (Ret.) retired from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) after 20 years of service. Tammy is a certified instructor in physical methods of arrest, advanced officer safety techniques, less lethal shotgun, pistol, rifle, active shooter, and accident investigation and is a certified EMT. She was an FTO, an expert in drug recognition and instructed in the academy in “Physical Training Unit.” There she instructed in physical fitness, nutrition, defensive tactics, and civil disturbance. Tammy ran the firearms training division for the CHP academy prior to retiring.
