The purpose of this class is to improve shooting and team bicycle rapid response performance through minimal classroom and maximum range time. This class will focus on skill-building drills as it relates to mountain bike officers and their specific duties to include officer safety, weapon retention and team arrest procedures. Relative shooting positions, stationary dismounts, dynamic moving dismounts as well as distance shooting is incorporated into the course of fire. Team formations and arrest procedures will be the focus of day two.

Requisites

• 300 rounds of ammunition
• Duty gear based on assignment
• Wrap around eye protection/soft ear protection
• Water and a bagged lunch
• LEBA, IPMBA, or equivalent basic class completion
• A functional police bicycle in good repair
• Bike tools and gloves

Over the last 30 years Lou Ann has instructed internationally in the areas of instructor development, training for specialty units and female police officer’s performance improvement and professional development including the Kuwaiti Female Special Forces, and Ford Motor Company E.P. Teams. Lou Ann also authored the firearms chapter for IPMBA’s “Complete Guide to Public Safety Cycling, 2^nd Edition” and has a master’s degree in education. James Dyment/Tiger Mountain Tactical retired from the Seattle Police Department as a Lieutenant after serving over 30 years. Jim commanded the Bike Unit and developed the first policy and training for bicycle crowd management stemming from experiences during the 1999 World Trade Organization Conference in Seattle. He has instructed bike team management internationally.
